World War II in Poland

This section will contain some unique information about the Polish people’s experience when Nazi Germany occupied Poland during WWII.   Please read the stories about Operation Wildhorn III that contains the account of Colonel Baszar who prepared and executed this brave and heroic operation that smuggled an unexploded V-2 missile to the Allies. Most stories about Operation Wildhorn III are told by the British and they don’t provide any account of the weeks of preparation that was done by the Polish Army.

Also, stories about the AK, or Polish Home Army and also the very unique experience of those who lived in Niwiska and Blizna, as the Nazis evacuated their villages to set up an SS training center and then moved Hitler’s top secret missile weapons program to their villages.
