Vinegar Pie Crust*

Mother Gawell’s Pie Crust (Anna Gawell)

3 C. flour

1 T. sugar

¾ t. salt

½ t. baking powder

Cut in 1 ¼ C. Crisco

Combine 1 egg, 5 T. ice cold water and 1 T. vinegar

Add about 4 T. of this mixture to the dry mix.

Chill in plastic wrap for an hour

I recall that she rolled this crust between two pieces of plastic wrap.
