Donna, I just finished viewing your webinar “Our Polish Ancestors”. I have to tell you how much I loved it! Your commentary and accompanying photographs had so much information in them that I had never heard before—it truly bears watching again (which I plan to do…). I have never been to but always wanted to travel to Poland but I’m afraid that will never happen but only in my mind. One side of my ancestors are from Gorzno in northwest Poland and I have been lucky enough to connect with a fourth cousin who has been graciously providing me with photos—what a treasure he is! My other line is from the Szumowo area in the eastern portion and I have only gotten as far as finding out that this line is nobility with much intermarriage. This is a huge challenge and I will try to have a professional genealogist do research for me in the near future. YouTube and Facebook pretty much show what modern day Poland is like (wonderful) but your webinar was really special to not only include travel tips but the history of daily life of our ancestors as reflected through paintings and photographs of your travels. Thank you for all your research and the making of this webinar!
